This is the droid you’re looking for.

This is indeed the droid a lot of people have been looking for. This looks like an interesting project, and has all the ingredients to be the first massively public failure of something released by Google. Not from a technological perspective, but from an implementation perspective. We’ll see how it goes, I’ll give my review of the SDK and my thoughts on everything next week. Let’s not forget the Sharp Zaurus, and Qtopia, maybe/hopefully the third time is a charm.. though technically.. it could be the second time.

  • Gmail offers IMAP Support now

I’m not sure how new this is but Gmail now offers IMAP support for your free/anonymous account. This is great, because the natural progression is for this support to show up in the hosted applications site.

As much as I don’t like Google’s policies, they do make good tools.. and this looks like another step in their march towards world domination.

I hope Yahoo! follows suit, as I actually prefer Yahoo! mail, and the company in general.

Anyway, here’s the help page for IMAP support
