In my free time. I’ve been able to write some programs and scripts that made my life easier. While writing these programs, I realized I wasn’t alone in the need for these scripts. So, I’ve made my work available to all. There is no cost for these programs, but there is also no guarantee that my script won’t eat your first born. Or puppies

  1. Binder: This is my DNS Control Panel. It’s sole purpose is to allow myself, and my power users to manage their own DNS. I wrote this because I hated the DNS configuration screens of Register.com, GoDaddy, Network Solutions, Enom, insert anything but Binder here. The code is production quality, but has not been updated in almost 12 months. It’s also lacking some features like some of the new anti-spam dns settings. At the same time, Binder currently manages DNS for about 7000 domains.
  2. PHP Service Monitor: I wrote this script to easily monitor the status of about 90 servers I used to be responsible for. Once again, I didn’t like big brother, Nagios etc, they were too complex, and I needed something quick and easy. Most importantly, I needed something that would allow me to add servers to the list without any work being done on the new servers. The only problem with this script is that it requires a dedicated browser. Again, this has not been worked on for about 18 months. But, it works.
